Getting To The Point

Wall Street is tanking, but your ROI is gold.

It’s easy to worry the financial crises rocking our markets are going to kill fundraising this year.

Just remember, in an era when Lehman is nearly worthless and so many investments look like they’re offering low returns, you are priceless.

Remind your donors of their amazing ROI with you.

For a few dollars, they get a helper’s high.  They feel good because they did good.  It’s cheaper than therapy.

Their investment in your organization doesn’t yield paper profits.  It changes lives.  Always.

Be passionate and persuasive about your emotional ROI - and your human ROI.

Those who can afford it will get it and give.

As a donor, I find trying to get non profits to “work” with you, unrealistic unless you are “only” going to hand over 100% donation.

My frustration is trying to get them to “think” outside of that box and see the benefit of a win-win for our country.
Many or really most I have contacted, don’t want to work for this cause.

Some of the largest Non profits, ie; McDonald house, have been the rudest.

“We the people” could do much more, if our government would untie our hands.

There are so many things we can do, if someone will just hear our voices.

A great place to start is to legalize Non Profit Fund Raisers / Raffles with Real Estate, on a National level.

While most states have legalized Raffles for Non Profit organizations, unfortunately, not all states do allow them or their guidelines are very restrictive.

When I wrote this article, it was before the crisis we are in with the bail-outs, hit the fan.

Our real estate markets in this nation, are inundated with homes and properties, that cannot be sold, for various and obvious reasons.

Participation in such Raffles / Fund Raisers, would be just one solution, that could accomplish unparalleled benefits.

I have outlined many of them here.  Please read this. It makes sense and is a win-win for our country, as a whole!

    True.  True.  True.

ROI ALWAYS.  Change lives.  Save Lives.  Impact Lives.

If anything, a rationale to INCREASE giving.  Great post.

Thanks Nick.  It’s certainly the “for impact” philosophy!

A fundraiser needs to be smart, who would plan and work in a way that demonstrates his/her proven smartness. A strong fund raising strategy will get a good amount of contributions.
