As this month’s nonprofit blogging carnival tells it, it’s a mixed but beautiful bag.
Burnout is high and pay is low. The challenges are colossal, but the rewards are great. As The Case Foundation’s Laura Gassner Otting puts it:
While they may be emotional, personal, mental, physical, and spiritual in nature, the advantages of working in the nonprofit sector far outnumber the disadvantages.
