What to do if you have too much to do

How do you handle competing nonprofit marketing priorities?  That was the topic of a workshop that Kivi Leroux Miller, Nancy Schwartz, Sarah Durham and I facilitated at the Nonprofit Technology Conference today.  People shared their wisdom and asked questions about juggling marketing priorities.  Here are our notes on what everyone said.

When you have too much to do, and you contemplate dropping a channel,

DROP FACEBOOK!

Seriously. You will thank me so much for this.

If you have other troubles dropping things, have you considered that you might be a workaholic?

I have a post about that, and would love your comments on it. http://www.wildwomanfundraising.com/workaholic-fundraiser-quiz/

Katya,
Thank you for always providing such a generosity of information to support the social profit community. My schedule didn’t all me to attend NTEN this year but I still got to learn from the recaps and session notes you shared. Thank you!!

Excellent. I, personally, think the most important thing is getting your priorities straight and then not getting distracted by things that do nothing but waste your time.
