Today, I’m so excited to share a talk by Kevin Bacon on his work with Network for Good on Six Degrees. His story is a wonderful reflection on many of the vital principles of fundraising and social media.

He touches on quiet a few concepts that are important to keep in mind as you go into a nonprofit venture, or continue to spread awareness of an already existing one. However, I think the concept he emphasizes the most, is probably one of the most important in philanthropy - collaboration. Its at the heart of philanthropy, its easy to get strung into the competitive world, but its important to remember that the effects you want to have on the world are duplicated when you collaborate with other organizations.
