The three stories you have to tell

The famous organizer Marshall Ganz has pointed to three stories you have to tell, says the latest edition of Andy Goodman’s Free Range Thinking (highly recommended reading every month):

“Public narrative is woven from three elements: a story of why I have been called, a story of self; a story of why we have been called, a story of us; and a story of the urgent challenge on which we are called to act, a story of now.”

Andy Goodman gives us this great example of these three elements delivered with great passion by Margaret Martin, founder of the Harmony Project.  Hear her compete in a social innovation pitch contest, showing why her cause matters to her, to us, and why we must act now:

Be personal, inspirational and urgent in your storytelling.
