How to have a real vision - and go out of business

This video is well worth your time - Scott Case of Malaria No More (and board chair of my organization, Network for Good) on:
1. How to have a great vision (Think of vision as a “dream with a deadline”). Most of us forgo the deadline part, which is important to bringing focus and urgency to our work.
2. Why to work your way out of business. As a nonprofit, he says we should strive for a state of mission accomplished, when we can shut our doors. There are five things this does: it fulfills what everyone wants (because it means you did what you set out to do), it puts the cause before your organization, it frees up creativity and resources, and it is cause for celebration.
Scott always makes me push the envelope on my own thinking - see what he does for yours.
