Nonprofit marketing friends: Are people ignoring your message?
Maybe you’re talking to the wrong people.
Sometimes your so-called “target audience” is off target.
If you can’t convince someone to do something, then stop. Instead, go persuade someone who has influence over the people you wanted to convince in the first place. They’ll get the job done.
It’s influence by proxy. And it works well.
Our “audience” doesn’t always want to be our audience. And we’re not always the best messengers for our message.
